**Our First Annual Earth Day Dog Walk was a HUGE success. We welcomed more than 120 people and 40 dogs, 20 of which were certified Service or Therapy animals. We raised $2,500 for paws4people which will go directly towards providing a service dog to a family or veteran in need, at NO cost to them! We look forward to seeing everyone in April 2018 for the next one!**
A new event for 2017, the Earth Day Dog Walk will promote service and therapy dogs in our communities, as well as the positive impact dogs have on our individual homes and families. Join us on The Discovery Trail, A to Z, and help raise funds to benefit the paws4people foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization who specializes in the training of Assistance Dogs for children and adolescents with physical, neurological, psychiatric, and/or emotional disabilities; and Veterans and Service Members with Chronic/Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), and Military Sexual Trauma. FINE PRINT
The event will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 along The Discovery Trail at Rocky Creek, Statesville, NC. The event will kick off at 10:00am. This event is NOT a race. Participants must complete the trail course no later than 1:00pm.
All dogs must have proof of Rabies vaccination.
No refunds. All registration fees are considered a tax-deductible donation. Up to 30 days prior to the event your entry can be transferred to the next year. Entries are non-transferable. Event Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God".
RAIN DATE - APRIL 23, 2017. We are a NO SMOKING facility – NO exceptions.
